We need YOUR help!
What's this?
A Garage No Sale is similar to a traditional garage or yard sale except that items are given away rather than sold. Our church is partnering with several other churches in the area to meet the needs of the less fortunate through this outreach.
Who will be able to shop at the Garage No Sale?
We'd like to help anyone in our community that has genuine financial need. With the help of food banks, shelters and local school districts, a special invite list will be created based on need.
How Can I Help?
There are two ways to help. You can donate items and/or help at the event.
What can I donate?
As you start your spring cleaning, simply set aside items that you no longer use that could be a blessing to someone else. Suggested categories are: Clothing (men's, women's, children and infants), Furniture, Kitchenware, Electronics, Games, Toys, Books, Sporting Goods, Household Miscellaneous (towels, bedding, etc.) All items should be new or gently used. Please don't bring anything that is broken, missing parts, etc. as these items cannot be accepted.
Where and when do I donate these items?
Please bring the items you wish to donate on Friday May15th to Diamond Canyon Church at address below. You may come as early as 9AM or as late as 9PM. Sorry, but items cannot be accepted before May 15th (no exceptions.) Then on May 16th, those who are in need will be able to shop around and get what they need for FREE.
How do I help at the event?
We'll begin accepting donations on Friday, May 15th to prepare for the Garage No Sale to be held on Saturday, the 16th from 8:00-12:00. We are in need of volunteers to help on both of these two days. The type of help needed will be things like setting up, sorting, organizing, assisting "customers", tear down, clean up, etc. Would you consider signing up for a two hour time shift on Friday afternoon or Saturday morning--maybe both?
